What tools can we use to become open- minded?
In order to teach others we need to know a lot about ourselves and what we stand for. Our culture is very important to know about if we want to teach it and other to others.
If we dont know ourselves, we wont be knowing others.

Right and Wrong
though out a persons life we experience different things and base our right and wrongs on thous experiences.
We start haveing prejudes and expectatíons. These prejudes and expectatíons are hard to get rid of. this may also be the reason why we have war today.
The ability to be openminded is more important than we realize.
Therefore it is a vital that we as future global teachers make sure that our students will posses this ability.
First step know what open-minded means
Second step: Be open-minded
Ask questions. See things from a different perspective. Do not expect anything.
Peer exercise:
Presenting yourself in your culture;
- Polite
- Say our First and Last name.
- Present ourself by only saying the important things
- Think about the aspects that might influence our relationship with that new person.
Besides your name, what is self- evident in the way you present yourself in your culture?
Formal: We shake hands .
Friends: give "quick" hugs.
Assimilation, Accomodation and Culture shock;
Assimilation You expand your cognitive schemes with additional information. Accomodation means that you totally change your view about a certain culture when you learn new information.
Culture Shock means that you're totally shocked about a certain culture. You're seeing things that are unfamilliar.
